Insomnia


You're a candle, lighting up the dark
A million paths, A million hearts
You stand alone, in the veils of the dark night
Even as it closes in upon you, you shine bright
Some may step back from you
They're afraid they'll get burned
But me, I want to spend the night with you
I want to watch those flames dancing
Dancing with devils inside of me
I want to see what it's like, when my eyes reflect your light
When I feel warm and safe, even by a candlelight
But as the night ages, I watch you flicker
You cough, you sputter, almost burn out
Please, don't go, I need you, the night's long
And while there will be others lighting up fires
They will be to burn, not shine...
