for fear has shut his mouth

insomniac, can’t sleep so he writes
autobiographical drivel
child of a man
reeks of cologne
thinks the world of a mirror

friend of a friend, barely named
a whole life I’ll never know
shame

tall girl
brilliant girl
never to meet her again
I miss her
