Into the Abyss

He could feel himself falling
into the deep darkness
Terror colored his eyes,
wavy silence was his mute companion
As the murky depths pulled him deeper,
the throes of death gripped his soul
It was only a matter of time
before he could no longer fight it
He would have to let go
Pulled down mercilessly
into the abyss
Closer to the open mouth
of the big fish
Leviathan,
the dreaded king of the deep
Those soul piercing scales
caused many unearthly wails
Searching frantically from the corner of his eye,
he could feel the terror increase
And as each horrifying moment passed by
Death was rising up
closer within reach,
as he plunged deeper,
deeper into the abyss
Until he got swallowed up
by the big fish
