Into The Haze
Into The Haze
By Jonathan Chen
Feathery powder obscures the windowpane,
The furnace fire has become ashen cold,
What was of the footsteps down the lane,
Lost in oblivion, just like tales of old,
Silence dwells in the halls,
Darkness dwells on the walls,
Silence and darkness,
The falling snow remains relentless,
Long expanses of white,
Seems to cover mountain and sea,
Step out, don’t hide from what you cannot see,
Or else you might,
Be lost in silence and darkness,
Silence and darkness.
