Into the Light

Please just save me from this darkness
And I don't know where to look
My words just break and melt
It's the wrong kind of place
It's the wrong time
But my faith is pulling me through
It's a small crime to blame
And I've got no excuse.
I just want to be not what I am today
I just want to be better than my friends might say
Maybe I should pack my things and move on
Maybe I'm fooling myself and the time has gone
Watching the flames wither and fade
Trying to make sense out of vanishing shade
I don't have to feel like a waste of space
I am original, cannot be replaced
If only I knew what the future holds
I would make a rainbow from the thunderbolts.
Maybe there is a reason why all the doors are closed
So I can open one that leads me to the perfect road
Like a lightning sprung, my heart will glow
And when it's time, all will know
And when it's time, all will know.
