Into the Mist

As the mist comes rolling in,
No light penetrates the deep fog.
Not a sound a soul can hear,
eerie silence all around.
It seems the nature is still,
The ocean turns no more.
Deep in my own thoughts,
left alone if not for you.
The city lights shine so bright,
parts the clouds and brings me back.
Before it even had the chance to grow,
It was cut, the petals gone for the Lilly took quite a lance.
Barley standing above the cracks,
unrecognizable tracks had led
it underfoot.
If not for my carful eye,
I will watch it grow.
Now it ends with my love for you,
long your gone I feel you still.
Your soft touch now no more,
your gentle words written in stone.
If I see you once again,
I hope you know so we can try.
