Into the Rabbit Hole

Down we go,
Down the rabbit hole,
Sliding so slow,
Down we go.
One by one,
Me then you and john,
One by one
We’re gone.

We’ve ran away
And come to play
With bunnies and fae
As time drifts away
There’s reversing clocks
And toys that talk
Dancing with The Hatter on the dock
While Mr. Time continues to tock.

The White Rabbit runs by,
Telling us the time,
“Tea time, tea time”,
The Hatter sighs.
We sit and sip and sing, dancing in a ring.
Horns sound, The Queen stands, handing me a string,
The sun makes the key on it bling,
Everyone continues to sing.

Sadly it’s time to go,
Back up the rabbit hole,
Walking so slow,
Dreading to have to go.
We’ll be back again someday
To frolic with the fae
And beg Mr. Time to stay
We’ll be back…someday.
