Invisible battles

I'm going to war tonight,
You might not find me alive.
Another everyday fight.
One not visible to the eye.
Mother please don't cry,
because your little can put up a fight.

I want to but I might not win,
because this war will lead to a dead end.
My wrists grown tired and my body is thin.
This is a war. This is a war. Not the end.

I will fight for my life.
Don't be upset if I surrender the light
in my eyes.

It's getting hard to breathe
and I forbid myself to let you hear me weep.
I will bleed.
I will fight and fight even in my sleep.

This is a battle.
One you cannot see,
because this war-
is within me.
