It Must be Hard

It must be hard, staring at someone you don't recognize
It must be hard, to never know yourself
Your days must be long and your nights even longer
I wonder if you'll ever know?

It must be hard, staring at someone you hate
It must be hard, to feel unheard anger
Your life must be torment
and your relationships lacerated
I wonder if you'll ever change?

It must be hard, staring at hands that hurt others
It must be hard, to use words for affliction
It must be hard, to build walls in self-exclusion
I wonder if you'll ever realize?
I wonder if you'll ever care?

I wonder it must be hard
