It Takes Two

So here we are ten years later on this lonely road,
what started out as a love story is now a barren land
Conversation has run dry and accusations have now formed
I contemplate every day,do I stay or do I go

My heart is screaming out while you lather yourself in cologne
Never have you worried so much what you show to the world
I am feeling so alone and yet you cannot see or hear my cries
I am on this journey, so afraid, but how long before my heart dies?

I have sought counsel which you treated as a joke, tried to be more
playful and you found it annoying and a bore,
What will it take for you to see that soon we will not be,
protecting my own heart is now key
