It watches
Silence is such an awful sound
Especially when it's broken and no one's around
A whisper that shouldn't...no... couldn't be there
The eyes in the window that must be a glare
I'm alone in this house that creaks and moans
But I am not alone says the chill in my bones
Something is waiting for what I don't know
It's getting closer and closer then whispers let's go
As a reader you say why would you ever go
But the paralyzing fear you haven't yet known
My hand is taken and I'm lead up the stairs
Into the closet we enter and it stands there and stares
This will be the last night that I live
The last pleading words that I will ever give
It covers my mouth, my cries are bound
Silence is such an awful sound
