Its Funny

It’s funny how we are expected to figure out our whole lives at a tender age of 18
Some don't have the basic skills to merely survive
Others have their minds made up hanging on to a thread
God forbid that thread snaps because there’s no backup plan
Yeah it’s really funny

It’s funny how we are expected to live in a society with our mouths closed
To have a shielded view of everything because we are told that is what to do
To not challenge any of the opposing views or even support the ones we hold dear
Yeah it’s really funny

It’s funny how religion has become religion
You don’t know who he is to you
Or even have a single clue of what life after this brings
How we are suppose to be so focused on this short lived, carnal, tangible life while in exchange for losing eternity
Yeah it’s really funny

It’s funny how these things are not funny
It all depends on how you shape your view, your truth
It all depends on when you start realizing that it’s not funny
But of course there will be others that will still say
Yeah it’s really funny
