It’s Hard to Fit in Your Skin


you can dress me in fine china
dangle me at mixers and galas
champion my pedigree, my level of education
embolden my breed
but I will always be a little too oily
a little too French
street wise, a hungry bottom feeder
impassioned with grotesque reality
humble dialects and true stories
