It’s Not You, It’s Both of Us

Did you always know—
Were you too afraid to admit it?
I knew
But I wore a blindfold and hoped for the best–
Maybe you also knew
And you carried on with glee
Taking me by the hand
Knowingly leading me into an abyss–
An eternal reality that is the uncertainty
I knew
But I took you by the hand anyway
You always knew
And so did I
