Jaimie’s Everything

You caught me with your eyes,
you held me with your heart.
Now and forever,
I'll hold you in the dark.
For every embrace is a sunrise,
waiting for the sunset's kiss.
And with the horizon on the line,
I can breathe again.
Now the stars sketch your face,
but they don't shine as bright.
They are an echo of a ghost,
that has long since seen the light.
Yet I look to the sky,
to find memories of us.
In those eyes so blue,
I fade to dust.
