Jamaican Iris

Your beauty is flawless with an attitude to match,
magazine covers without effort or,
added makeup suggestions.
You are quite the catch...my mind wanders and imagines
All the bewilderment you conjure.
I've always admired you.
You really don't know your impact?
To this day I'm still in awe...
Like a painting on display to the highest bidder
and I blush a little, it feels like how soda bubbles in your throat tickle.
Beautiful, gorgeous and I'm stuck in the middle.
Your spirit and your principles have been resilient.
Your motivation as a mother, a woman...
are relentless.
A prism bending light and your rainbows are endless.

I wrote this two days ago as a dedication to a friend of mine. She is just an awesome and powerful woman who takes care of her kids and still in the position to freelance model and she looks amazing. I'm just proud of her and honored to be in her life still since high school.
