Jefferson

Do you remember our secret place
The one in which we were hidden
With flowers among us our only company
In that courtyard that has seen many lovers.
Oh can we go back
To that place so divine
Hold me tight upon the rod iron gate
Press your lips upon mine.
Walk with me along the river
Where passion filled your heart
And you bared your soul to mine
Carry me back to that moment in time.
Let the rain fall gently on our love
Like it did on that day long ago
Steaming on the sidewalks
Kissing us softly back to life.
