She glistens like the sunlight, upon the morning dew,
Her spirit dancing freely, as blithe spirits often do.
The laughter in her soul bubbles out from deep within,
and I know a new adventure is most likely to begin.

The workings of her mind are such a mystery to me,
creative forces, thoughts and sounds are suddenly set free.
From nothing, something beautiful appears before my eyes
for, from her mind and hands the most amazing things arise.

The colors, mood and balance are astounding to behold,
for all that she creates is oh, so vibrant , and so bold
and yet, she cannot see herself the way that others do-
A shining star, uniquely blessed beyond both me and you

I wish that I could tell her what a difference she has made,
not just to me, but to the world. But no- I am afraid
she would not listen or believe. I know that in the end,
she’ll never know how proud I am, that she is my dear friend!
