Jewels

Effervescent emerald eyes
Staring back at me
Like the needles poking my hand
On a new Christmas tree
Asking her how she perceives
The ones looking at her like I am
The way the sun shines through her eyes
Like gleaming jewels in place of her irises
She holds her hands together
And her flamboyant coloured eyes look back at me
I wish I could tell her I loved, cherished, and adored her
I wish I could say she's my world
Those eyes like dewy grass
Hands like a porcelain dolls
But with nails like a dogs claws
Only unclenched for one dear
I wish she knew what I felt
When she stabbed me in the heart
