Jonah

We are lost at sea,
Never to be found.
I wonder why it's happening,
But no one makes a sound.

We're all in the same boat,
But someone's drilling holes.
We barely stay afloat,
May God have mercy on our souls.

He says that someone must be Jonah,
He claims it isn't him.
He says that he's more like Noah,
And we all have the sins.

The boat continued sinking,
We were all about to drown.
It really got me thinking,
How much I missed the ground.

And he calls upon Jehovah,
To throw us overboard.
He insists that we are Jonah,
And he is with the Lord.

We taught ourselves to swim before,
We lost our heart and soul.
And by the time we reached the shore,
He'd been swallowed whole.
