Judgemental Mirror

You're your worst critic,
You don't belong, you can't get along--
With anyone around you, you've yet to find--
Anything wrong:
With the way you act,
So you challenge the facts,
You bend the rules, and look down on the fools.
You look in the mirror and wonder why--
You're treated like misfit,
Those learned inhibitions; you missed it,
So now others think you're shy,
But really you're only lacking confidence.
You take another look in the mirror,
Now you believe you're pretty--
Enough to socialize, or at least break the ice,
Share a common interest, maybe make"besties" exist,
You've made your way out of your shell,
Now you too are ready with a story to tell.
