By Rhea

I couldn't time it out right
My watch was slow and cracked.
Your stride was abrupt and hasty,
Like you never planned on coming back.

Like a motion picture reality,
Playing through the script between us.
Every gesture, step, tear drop-
Our very own Tony-worthy performance.

I looked up to the darkened sky,
Watching you leave is too exposing.
I count each padder of your fleeting steps
I close my eyes and pretend I'm floating.

I saw Jupiter, tonight
Snuggled up, close to our moon.
I allowed my mind to entertain
As though I was looking at me and you.
