Just a fading memory

A star is born as another fades,
time reminds me of those days
When thoughts escape a silent gaze
Alas its just a foggy haze
My mind steadfast but body broken
The years gone by now barely woken
A man once proud and all he could be
Now just a fading memory

Lie awake most everynight
the voices call and stage a fight
Within you feel youve lost the will
your path unclear youve had your fill
Of lifes surprises, loves and leaves
Now just fading memories

You look above, inside and out
But this cannot be figured out
Just how you got to be here now
In this strange land your nowhere bound
But rest assured youll soon be free
To take your place in memories.

As these are all just memories.
