Just Away

He is just away
Where he has no earthly pain.
He may be in the sunset
Or floating with the rain.
He may create a rainbow
Or simply fly above,
Or sit upon a mountain top
contemplating love.
He's hoping you will think of him
When butterflies alight,
When birds drop in to sing their songs
And stars come out at night.
So when you see an eagle soar
Or a gull fly out to sea,
Know that he is just away
And like them, he is free.
