Just One

If I could make just one wish,
I'd wish for so much more
Than having things and being rich
And having"friends" galore.
I'd wish for wisdom for us all
To succeed in making choices,
And stop humanity's endless brawl,
And quiet the angry voices
If I could chase just one dream,
I'd dream with so much more
Than being captain of the team
And living on the shore.
I'd dream of futures for us all,
And ways and means to get there
Without the constant, endless fall
That comes with lack of care.
If I could have just one hope,
I'd hope for so much more
Than fancy houses and fast cars,
And a giant boat to moor.
I'd hope for humanity to gain some sense
And stop destroying their Earth.
To start becoming much less dense,
And witness a rebirth.
