Just Us Two

Peek-a-boo who loves you?
I'll give you one clue.
me that's who.
Life is a circus when it's us two.
We see the world as a zoo.
Who knew we'd be stuck like glue.
Our friendship is certainly not blue.
No one understands what we do.
That's a secret known by few.
So relax and enjoy this day that's new.

This Poems Story

I've been blessed for thirty-two years with a superb husband, three grown children, and two grandkids, all of whom have made my life incredible. As a fourth-grade student my teacher instructed the class to write a poem for the local newspaper who was hosting a poetry contest. To my surprise, there it was--oh joy! my poem printed in black and white in the newspaper. With the support of my family and friends I will keep following my dreams--be it big or small, as my future cannot be saved at the present time.
