Just Won’t Eat

It seems too difficult for me to wrestle me into submission
My butt is repeatedly handed to me by my self
My self fights dirty to entice me to comply
My self-fights hurt me and leave me crying
I want what's best for me is why I’m trying to tame me
But, my self shrinks away for wisdom and self-control
I must get a hold of me!
My self punches me below the belt and won’t listen
Ay Dios Mio!
What am I to do with my wayward self?!
Since I won’t listen to me
I’ll lock me up in a loving, unremitting grip
I just won’t eat
I will have my attention; I will win
I just won’t eat
