Just Yesterday by Grandma Says

Oh how fast the years go by.
Just yesterday I held him in my arms.
Now he is in someone else's arms.
Just yesterday I tucked him in his bed.
Someone else is doing that now.
Just yesterday I made his breakfast.
Now someone else gets his breakfast.
Just yesterday I saw him march off to school.
Just yesterday he came home all mud on his shoes.
Just yesterday he dressed for his first big date.
Just yesterday he ran home, mom I'm in love.
Not me, but his lifetime girlfriend.
Now she is his yesterday girl.
Just yesterday he was my son.
Now he is her man.
