Justice

Tender flesh on twigs of ice
Discolored cloths on his naked body lay
Deep sight a thousand stories told
Of shattered dreams and empty hope

Underground his spirit awaits
The flesh that moves his hollow bones
A heartbeat gone, a final breath
Dark his fate as light his hope

His mouth sang a final prayer
A lullaby his death foretold
The demons clenched onto his skin
They hid the key, and took his soul

The animal slept in his new home
A bed for his body and a chain for his soul
May he rest in peace, as he deserves
For all is just and fair in this world
