Justice for All

We say it every morning as we turn towards our flag.
"Justice for all," is something we brag
Justice for the black man, unarmed
Justice for the little boy who didn't feel strong
Justice for the woman who didn't make enough
Justice for the little girl who thought she could

Equal rights and equal pay,
That is what America is today.
No man left behind,
No man ever denied.

But, how come every morning we see a woman raped?
Why every morning a black man maimed?
Why every morning a white man accused?
Why every morning a muslim abused?
Why every morning, someone new dead?
Why every morning, more inequalities spread?

Then we come home at night, and ignore it all.
We eat our dinner and we think small.
We watch the news and cry some tears.
We go to sleep with continued fears.
We say it every morning as we turn towards our flag.
Justice for all?
What's to brag?
