Knitted Heart

Warmth comes into the mind as they move on past
As if the times had all gathered again to hold
for a moment of stillness

With the soft glow of yellow on the tip of her eyes
The summer-like breeze brings such comfort and surprise
as they all dance about

Watching and waiting but for nothing
The best kind of waiting

At this moment, there are infinite moments happening all around
but they are not this moment
This, is the moment worth waiting for

Sudden unsuspecting drops of warm rain
start to rest their feet upon her tired palms

With small movements, now standing,
bent over for a second just to take one

It rests now in her books Marked with date and name,
to never be forgotten.
