Knowing Is Half the Battle

A stranger walking by sees only the beauty
The majestic design with its intricate details
An end product that resulted from sleepless tormented nights

He sees not what is behind these magnificent minutiae
He is unaware of the lurking overwhelming fear
The accumulated disappointments and broken promises

The constant battle; the life long fight
Is it worth it? Should it be risked?
The "what if's" and "why not's"

Knowing is truly only half the battle.
