Looking next to me and seeing you,
watching as you notice me staring and a wide grin spreads across your face.
Knowing you for as long as I have means I’ve seen it all.
The good days, the bad days, the in between days.
The tough situations made us seem hopeless sometimes but we always pulled through
whether that was for better or for worse, it just was.
Knowing me was different for you.
You told me how different I was, and how I understood you.
How experiencing the change was good for you,
like I was a practice run for your future partner.
Knowing each other was difficult and I couldn’t handle it.
I know you felt the same, which is why you’re better off without me.
