La Coeur (The Heart)

Slurps and steps that augment every time an
Approach is made towards the place I reside
I cringe and peek in case an eye takes hold of
My hidden values for artistry and beautiful things

Post-war steals the brevity of emotion
Takes breath of acerbation
Heart of stagnant respiration
And crafts another definition
Inescapable and sustained by rendition of suspension

Perhaps the storm can only shift
An unmatched line across a stream
Or a driveway full of rumpled leaves
Into parallelism and into humps and heaping of
Unification after separation

The latter could become the greater than
The previous mementos defined and performed on par
With the briefly staggered memories of yesterdays

The walls of all parts of our guard in physicality
Or invisibility crashes, invagination inwardly
Towards the coelom and the core-la Coeur
