Lack of Communication

I am certain that I am observant
While you are oblivious to the obvious solutions to problems
I want to speak truth with my words
But I lack the courage, I own hesitation
They say passion can strike away the chains bonded by fear
But I am—
Afraid that words will fail me
Afraid of losing,
Much labor,
But lack,
Of language
Words are lasting—they linger
“I’m no mind reader”— say them
But speaking—
Without consequence,
Sets the stage for opposition
My world wants no rejection
Black and White
And then,
I question—
Whether I am absurdly wrong or completely right
