Lady Aurora

her gown shimmering
with a thousand stars,
each ablaze like
a candle in the pitch-black of night,
each twinkling like hope.

envious of her astral beauty,
even the dazzling moon
looks insignificant in her path.

she is like an artist;
the sky her canvas
perfect sea-green strokes
woven with azure and cerulean

her presence brings an inexplicable silence,
the world is frozen in time.
everything watching with careful eyes
as she waltzes across our world
with otherworldly elegance.

she stays for minutes
before gliding away with the melancholy grace
with which she came.

though you wish her to stay eternally,
and shower her celestial light
so beautiful,
it must be pure magic.
