Lady of the Night

Marin,
Lady of the Night.
When the boys are around,
She's always in sight.

She dances by the corner,
Rain or shine.
Waiting for the day,
Her prince will arrive.

Until then,
Short skirts and cigarettes.
Living her life,
With no regrets.

Tired of judgement
And being misunderstood.
If she could leave it all ,
I know she would.

When the boys are looking
She feels know hate.
But normally she is a balloon,
Held down by a weight.

Lady of the night,
Needs to know.
When the night ends,
Where will she go?
