Lay me down

Lay me down amidst our story

Lay me down amidst our glory

We live, we breath, we fight, we die

We love, we leave, we say goodbye

In this moment we close a door and turn-on a heart of war

Desert sands and Hindu walls turn boys to men who see it all

Innocents dies inside the soul and leaves behind a lump like coal

But from the ashes of that 'twas lost, you find the fields and count the cost

Dress right dressed in columns of stone, we found a place, we call it home

For we have lived and we have died, now you must go and you must bide

Forget us not is our cry, we lived to fight and were prepared to die

Lay me down amidst our story

Lay me down amidst our glory”
