Lead To A Cage

From the beginning, love set the stage,
But piece by piece, you led me to a cage.
Day by day, you changed who I am,
Cheating moments, like a broken dam.

Inside out, you killed me slow,
A replaceable feeling, like a shattered throw.
Times you chose another, I can't forget,
Leaving me broken, filled with regret.

Scars run deep, the pain won't mend,
Attempts to fix, but it won't end.
With a heavy heart, I stand my ground,
Realizing we're not meant, a truth profound.

Deserve better, a truth to tether,
Time to move on, let go, and gather.
This chapter's done, our story severed,
For a brighter future, I'll endeavor.
