Learner’s Eclipse

My schooling comes from the mistakes I make;
break that one bond, and you'll never repeat.
My whole world looks on to see what's at stake,
with the abundant thoughts of nothing sweet.

Why the Earth will still spin while I sit still,
and the sun and moon rise together yet.
This day is cold, the warmth blocked by the chill,
so I'll wait for the sun to shine, don't fret.

The thaw before will be the hardest test,
which will require some traits to make the mark.
I need to have patience, honor, and jest,
which will help to ignite that missing spark.

Blessed be those that enjoy the sun's great shine,
for a dark world without, will not be mine.
