Leave

I said, "Office! Please believe me!"
He wouldn't let me leave
He walked off with a smile on his face
There was something about it I just couldn't place
When the officer left
I thought I was near death
When I ran away from him
He caught me by my limb
I went to the hard floor
My father slammed me in to the door
I cried until my face was blue
I just didn't know what to do
I was scared to tell anyone
I knew he wasn't done
I said, "Officer! Please believe me!"
He would let me leave
He left me there on the floor
He soon walked out the door
I laid in pain
Trying not to use God's name in vain
I prayed and prayed
Every morning my father's bed was made
I cried until my face turned blue
I just didn't know what to do
