Leaving Scars

You cut and you bleed
Why should it matter to me?
We have almost the same life
And still you go on about your strife
You say you cut because you need to feel alive
But that is a vast lie
I know why you do what you do
But if you want attention, people will give it to you
Cutting leaves scars to remember
Do you remember what the first one was even for?
Do you remember what stoked the fire?
That gave you this cutting desire?
End the ridiculous scheme
Because if you don't, you'll mean nothing to me
