Leaving You

slipped right through my fingers
scattered about the floor
sunk down like a river rock
and slammed the iron door
why must you go & leave me now
so bleakly in the night
Amidst the darkened misty cloud
the tears had blurred my sight
with flowers, withered in my hand
mistakes and hope and pride
I humbly walked back to my car
Where sat all night & cried.
