What's the mystic power, you bear,
To make me feel so happy?
Brimming with love you stare,
So cute, Leo, my puppy.
You try to converse with me,
In your strange dialect.
You grasp so cleverly,
The words I direct.
When I come home, after a while,
You wait for me, wagging your tail,
To welcome home, whining and leaping,
Twisting, licking and rolling.
Human affection's like a bubble,
Bursting in the moment of trouble.
At times of luxury and hassle,
You are my darling puppy, loyal.
