Let Acceptance Prevail
Sing to the sounds of life and hum as it touches the human heart.
Inhale the brisk winter air;
Digest the contagious fragrance of all things good and bad.
Accept what may seem impossible;
To prove that possible is in the word impossible.
Strive for what your heart and mind desires,
With the limitations your conscience provides.
Walk across the water.
Travel not around the challenge,
nor succumb to the mercy of the bridge.
Defy physics.
Make a new path:
Your path;
Using the imagination, the mind, and the soul within.
Believe what you truly believe.
Fall not victim to the stampede of others' desires,
for you can be sure to be trampled.
Dedicated to Benjamin S. Bengtson
"A brother, a friend, and most of all,
a young boy with a heart bigger than life itself"
