Let Me Be Me

Working many jobs and one day off.
I'm overloaded
I'm being stretched too thin
I feel like a child playing a grown-ups game
Seeing the world as it truly is.
Life is crazy, unpredictable
Reach out to touch life just to have to chase it
I wish I had more time
to chill out and unwind
To wash away the stress
and anger, frustration, depression
As if a wave can reset the soul
Feel like i'm on the outside
But can never come in
Please can I be a child again
Worryless, free, happy, energetic
To not have to worry
And not have to care
At least have people leave me be
And let me be me.
