Let me prove you wrong.

You see me as a dull shadow;
A light,barely there hue.
You see me as the branches fallen from a tree.

Well let me prove you wrong;

Interrupting and initiating conversation; I am the pin dropping in a silent room.
I am the flash of an old camera,
Surprising those who just aren’t ready for me.

I will be the girl unafraid to walk into a crazy crowd and shout.
“Who is she?”  the question of the night.
The gadabout of a generation full of privilege;
Exposed to a world of hate; neophyte.

Let me prove you wrong;

Squash your systematic sadness,
Trust me it won’t take long.
