I’ve heard it said,
“Everybody wants to get to heaven, but nobody wants to die.”
That when death showed its face,
Felicia reached for its hand
And took a step of bravery out of the skin she would no longer need.
That as she shed her body,
She escaped any and all pain
And was quickly mesmerized in conversation
With the angels who carried her spirit to glory.
That from daddy’s lap,
She looks down onto those who love her most
Knowing the truth, we have yet to behold
Seeing the home prepared and with room for us all,
Experiencing the God who loves us so much
That he allowed us to love one another on earth
And created a way for that love to be preserved
That it would last and exist
For the eternity we will spend with her
And with him.
We will hold her again
