Letting Go

As I sit back and look at you
This is what I see,
A sad and lonely man
Reaching out to me.
I know you've seen and done
A lot of things in your life,
But I see the pain it causes
All the worry and the strife.
Now with all the pain and suffering
live has put you through.
I cannot sit back and wonder
Will I ever get through to you.
I may not be the one
Who gets to be your wife,
But if nothing else matters
I'd like to make a difference in your life.
I don't want to lose you
But I know I can't open those doors,
When all I wanted you to do
Was just to make me yours.
I face a life of uncertainty
And I'll love you everyday,
But I'm not helping your life
No matter how hard I pray.
I love you Curtis Holder, this is plain to see,
Now its time to let go of your pain
and put your faith in me.
