Life

Today I watched an eagle flying;
He seemed to be looking for his mate;
he hoped that good fortune in finding her would be his ultimate fate.
He soared across the waters, as if to find his way;
flying back and forth to and fro upon this winters day.
Then in the distance he saw her...
They connected as one in natures mating way;
until their process over,
neither one would drift nor stray.
I began to tire as I watched them,
for they had reminded me of life
and it's cycle upon this cold yet sunny day.
